About this event
Do your kids in grades 2 - 4 love to read? Are they regularly selecting books from our Juvenile Fiction section (not just Beginning Fiction or Tween Fiction)? Then this is the book club for them! We'll all read the month's selected title on our own, then meet together to discuss it and do some fun activities. In November, we will read Heather Fawcett's Young Hoosier Book Award Nominee The Galaxy of Whales, a "story that has everything: the trials and pleasures of friendship, a rousing feud and a touch of adventure, a beautiful exploration of healing after grief, a very moving finale, and a whole lot of whale-watching fascination." Copies of the book will be available to be checked out from the Youth Department Reference Desk when registration opens. Allergy Alert: Snacks may be served during this program that may contain dairy, eggs, wheat, or soy. This is not a comprehensive list of all potential allergens.
