DESCRIPTION:9 sessions\, Saturdays 9 AM–12 PM\, Mar 14 – Nov 14. The In
 vasive Species Strike Team at Eagle Creek Park is a group of dedicated vol
 unteers who don’t mind getting dirty removing invasive species such as b
 ush honeysuckle\, garlic mustard\, and wintercreeper. We meet the second S
 aturday of the month\, March through November (weather permitting)\, worki
 ng 9:00 AM – noon. Volunteers hand-pull or use loppers to remove invasiv
 es and treat stumps with herbicide. Wear long pants\, close-toed shoes\, a
 nd a hat. Use of bug spray (for ticks) and bringing a water bottle is also
  suggested. In case of bad weather\, we will email to Strike Team voluntee
 rs the day prior to inform them of the cancellation. Volunteers under 18 a
 re welcome to join as long they are attending with an adult. Gate admissio
 n is waived for Strike Team volunteers. Please tell the gate attendant you
  are volunteering for the Strike Team and they will waive you in.\n\nListe
